Citibank Health Forever Insurance

I took a Health Forever Insurance from Citibank on December 16th 2007. I know that the insurance is supplied by Royal Sundaram.  But they have a deal maybe.


I purchased the annual insurance online for me and my wife. The site never asked for an address. I payed the premium online. The site said that I should get my documents in 15 days. After making the payment that was the end of the story.


Nobody from Citibank has ever bothered to call me till today to confirm my shipping address. And I called them multiple times to know about my insurance policy. The customer care is not aware that such a insurance policy exists. They dont have an insurance dept so I dont know why they sell this product in the first place. Emailed them and they took 10 days to respond stating that they have arranged to ship the insurance policy to my billing address which is on my credit card.


Finally I got through a customer service agent who said that it takes 45 days to recieve the insurance policy. I told him that the site said 15 days. He explained to me that there is a 30 days waiting period apart from 15 days. So that sums up to 45 days. I know that for the first 30 days the insurance policy is not valid for many medical services. But why do they have to lie on their website that I will recieve it in 15 days.


And why sell insurance when your customer care knows nothing about it. I went to the Royal Sundaram’s website and saw the same insurance they were selling through citibank’s website. I shouldve bought from Royal Sundaram myself. Anyways. I will never buy another health or life insurance from citibank ever.


The one thing I dont like is to be lied at. They just need the money. money money. Greedy morons.
