Ive written to Citi about this. Theyre scrounging on real-estate by having lesser branches and encouraging customers to go online/ telephonic(a city like Bengaluru has all of TWO Citi branches).
Well, here is news for you, Citi. You have not provisioned for all possibilities on your Internet banking. There ARE things for which a customer will need to meet you e.g. updation of PAN cards, which requires customers presence. And youre not making it any easier by having me travel 15 km every time I want to talk to a face rather than a machine.
Also, even though ICICI has a far more flexible and comprehensive online transaction system(although an admittedly equally-torturous IVRS), it still is my neighbrouhood friendly bank, coz its still in the neighbourhood. I hope your management is still listening, Citi; I hope they are still listening.
For me, Citi is a VERY AVERAGE bank.
