When I wanted a home loan, I approached Citibank for it. All went well and I submitted all the required documents, the processing fees and 36 post dated cheques. After that the bank people disappeared from the scene. I had to run from pillar to post to find out when I was getting the loan amount. Out of frustration I asked Citibank to cancel the loan and then decided to take loan from ICICI. To my horror, one day I found that Citibank have started deducting the installments in spite of the fact that I did not take their loan. After a month and lots of arguments and fighting they returned back the money only to deduct it again next month. Probably I am the only person in the world who paid installments for the loan that I never took. This is one bank, which treats its customers like beggars. If you want peace of mind stay away from Citibank.
