I bought a new bike in January 2005 and went in for the Citifinancial loan offer as recommended by my dealer coz it was the only 0% finance scheme at that time. Only catch was that I had to repay it in 5 months.
Once the tenure of the loan was completed, I requested my agent to get the hypothecation cancelled on my registration book. He said that I would need an NOC from the finance company. That is where my troubles started.
The service from the staff at the bank is grossly pathetic. Even a tea stall vendor would respond to your questions better than the customer care at Citifinancial. The staff were clearly not qualified for the job they were assigned. They were the kind you would expect to find selling veggies at the market - so crude was their behaviour.
In spite of waiting for more than an hour, no one bothered to respond to queries. They were all engrossed in gossipping and discussing shopping and other such nonsense.
The request for the NOC was met with stiff resistance. They refused at first. But after much pestering, agreed to give it. Even then they did not get the authorized signatory to sign [which I was not aware of] . The RTO returned my papers saying that the signature was not the right one.
In spite of repeated calls, they just pass the buck saying that the person you spoke too is in a meeting [ always in a meeting...it would seem.] . They do not even give the name of the manager so that we may complain.
I regret taking the loan from Citifinancial. They are only interested in you as long as you pay them the EMIs. After that you have no value for them. They treat you like dirt. ICICI customer care is like paradise in comparison.
I would not recommend anyone to go in for this finance company. You are likely to get screwed with your documents.
