I am working with Convergys and using Citi Bank Credit card Cash Back from last 3 years. Last month They decided not to send the statement at my billing address, and all of sudden they stop sending the alerts also.
Due to this I missed 1 payment for the card, and the very next day, despite I never missed any payment from last 3 years and never be defaulted. they blocked my credit card. They included good 2, 500 as finance charges and 1, 800 as Late Payment fee in my next statement.
I was surprised and called to the customer services, They straight away said NO to it, that they can not help me at all. I called 3 or 4 times, everyone answered me the same recorded message.
Finally after so many days I quit, and decided to close the citi bank card. I made the amount in full and requested to close the card. They accepted the application and none of them called me even to stop me leaving being a long customer.
The very next month I received another statement for the amount due of 5, 400, I was shocked that after closing the credit card, How can they send the statement ? I again took leave from my office and went to the Branch. They were also not helpful at all.
Now I am going to submit a request to Consumer Court.
I do agree with Anupam.... NEVER GO FOR CITI BANK CREDIT CARD.
EVEN IF THEY OFFER YOU 3-4 CARDS FOR FREE....
