I did a booking for the Citrus Group of Hotels Lonavala on the 14th of August for 28th August (i.e. Booked 14 days in advance) Seeing the price of the rooms and the alluring pictures on the website I expected a relatively good room. When I checked in and opened the windows I was greeted with the sight of the bathroom and bedroom of the bungalow that was adjacent to the hotel, which meant that I had to keep the curtains drawn the entire day.
I did go down to the reception and complain but they didnt seem to concerned about the fact and wondered what the problem was. The excuse offered was that it is a residential area.
The room had 2 single beds that were pushed together to make a double bed, the problem was that the beds kept moving apart and since I was with my 1 year old baby this was very very stressful as there was always the chance that the beds could move apart in the night and he could fall to the floor. The result was that I didnt sleep well the entire night
We ordered Khichidi from the kitchen and specifically said that it was for my 1 year old son so please only put Hing and Haldi (No masala and chillies) they sent it to my room with chillies and masala I called to complain abd they replaced it 30 mins later, by that time we removed the chillies one by one by hand and fed the baby as it was getting late and he was hungry.
The taps had muddy water coming from it.
Lunch was also an ordeal as they took more than 45 minutes to serve my order. So we had to wait because we made the mistake of ordering A la carte and we didnt opt for the buffet.
