I spoke to Mr.Kaleemulla Khan and he said that he swears that it is true that Mr.Masood , Chairman of City Group had talks with him on phone from 21st August to 3rd September .Mr.Masood told Mr.Khan that due to the raids by Directorate of  Enforcement and EOW from 11th August the investors have to eat “DAL-ROTI instead of BIRYANI  which they were eating for the past several years”. Mr. Khan says that he would like to assure Mr.Masood that the investors would be pleased to eat DAL-ROTI provided it is supplied with immediate effect instead of announcing date after date.

There are several retired defence officers/jawans (selfless saviors of the country), retired central and state govt officers, widows, small businessmen, senior citizens and also NRI’s and others who have invested in City Group with the sincere hope that Mr.Masood would never betray their trust, considering his past 15 years of track record and his company’s credentials.

As per a circular Dt.17th Aug sent by the Mng Director Geeta Razzaki informing that on the 11th Aug there was a search conducted by Central Govt Agency.

And assuring investors that their hard earned money is safeguarded as the company is in good health and progress, how can a meeting of the board of Directors pass a resolution that the company is facing financial crunch on the 3rd Aug and based on the same ground the scheme of arrangement  i.e. refund of balance principal amount to the investors with 7% interest on reducing balance in 12 installments submitted to the court.

Hence in my opinion the schemes should continue with certain modification if required as there are other existing companies with similar schemes who are functioning well and making payments to their investors without any defaults.      

As per the recent information from few Mumbai investors, Mr. Virendra Maurya has once again changed his statement about opening of Offices from 20th Nov to 30th Nov, this has created panic among the already worried investors who have invested their hard earned money and there are many investors who invested during last working days of the offices who have only obtained receipts and not even signed the agreement and many investors are in need of certain documents required to claim insurances etc who are unable to do so since the offices are closed. For more than two lakh investors from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra who are yet to recover from the shock of the terrorist attack in Mumbai due to which even the Honorable Ex-Chief Minister Mr.Vilas Rao Deshmukh had to resign taking moral responsibility, this is another type of terror as whatever money they had saved and invested is being looted and they are as good as dead. Has this matter gone to the notice of Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr.Chavan is to be considered, if so what action he has ordered to be taken in the matter.

In view of all this Mr.Kaleemulla Khan on behalf of all the investors requests Mr.Masood to now come out with a statement about actual facts like the one in DNA on 5th Oct and adhere to his words, by which the investors will feel highly relieved and assured and co-operate with the company.
