The Anne Rice version of sleeping beauty is a must for anyone who enjoys adult erotica, if you can stomach a little bit of pain and punishment. Beautifully written, it gets your attention and keeps it the whole time. Where else would you find boys with ’’pony tails’’ pulling carriages instead of horses?
There are so many things going on in the book, and yet it is still simple enough to keep track of everything. This is true erotica with a plot and not just smut trying to pass its self off as literature. The style is sweet and harsh at the same time, making you feel the pain but making you want to be part of it. You can picture yourself as these characters and you will long to be one.
I received the box set as a gift from a freind and had all three books finsihed in three days. My copies are now beaten and battered from the reading and lending to friends who have all loved the books.
If you can’t sit through a book get the audio, thogh I don’t reccomend you listen to it in the car. ;)
A must read for any Anne Rice fan.
