My Singapore trip was one of the most badly managed trips one would ever come across. After cooling my heels for almost six months post resignation from American Express India Pvt Ltd, I decided to rejuvenate myself by an overseas trip. Singapore was the first choice, given the proximity to India as well as the cost effectiveness.
I got in touch with Nrittiak Mukherjee of Onkar Travels, H- Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi. She promised me moon for the stars and Hotel Claremont was booked for me. The website had painted rosy pictures about the hotel. When My flight landed at 7:30 am at the Changi International Airport I was heartily greeted by the airport transfer guy and taken to Hotel Claremont bt Innova. The ride was pleasant enough.
The reception of the Hotel was pathetic.it was more shady than one could ever imagine .To my surprise, the lady at the counter told me that the check in will be allowed after 11 am as there are no rooms epmty. That was ridiculous. After haggling with them they agreed to offer me the room at 10:30. Two hour wait at the reception was the worst start to the trip.
The rooms were just okay. The Minibar of the room had nothing much to offer. No Fosters or Birdwiser.Only Aquafina/Bisleri to quench the thirst. Early breakfast was good enough to make you pukish. I didnt take the breakfast for the entire stay at the hotel.
Since the Hotel was located at Sherangoon Road, opposite Mustafa Centre.famously called Mini India. I didnt have tough time gorging on Indian delicacies.
Highly Not Recommende in any case.
