I have had in the past a few issues with Clarks shoes which I have put down to bad luck - suede shoes that were different colours, kids shoes that wore very quickly, but the latest issues have put me off for life.
I bought two pairs of shoes as gifts for family members - they chose them and I bought them. Both pairs after checking them over had faults: large scratches around the heel and a dent in the leather on the toe. They are still very wearable, just not perfect which is surely what you want when you buy new shoes? I contacted customer services and they were utterly hopeless - they didnt try to order replacements ot anything. They suggested I took them to a shop for checking. I live nearly 30 miles from the nearest Clarks and to be honest, wish I had never bothered getting them now. I have shown my family the shoes and have left it up to them to either take them back or keep them, so fed up am I of the unhelpful staff.
My advice is look elsewhere. It appears Clarks isnt what it used to be.
