Since long, I have been using clean master to clean junk files in my phone like application caches, duplicate files, freeing up RAM and sorting of files.
However, a few days ago I noticed something fishy. I am a programmer and I use Java and C+ for program. While encryting my SD card, I randomly stumbled upon something. I was tracking the behaviour of several applications in my phone, and I noticed that Clan Master was sending considerable amount of data to an anonymous website.
I tried to run some more programs and find out what the website was and I could not fully decrypt it, but according to the data that I was able to collect, that website is an online server based cloud storage used by the company that owns Clean Master.
Next, I tried to find out what data was being taken from my phone and being stored in the server. After running many programs and a lengthy data analysis I came to the conclusion that files from my Gallery, my documents and some other personal files were being sent and saved anonymously without my knowing and Clean Master was doing this.
In order to use Clean Master, we have to give full storage permission to this application. And after noticing things that are so fishy, I do not trust this application.
Anyone who uses this application, I would request you not to use it, or if you really want to use it, then please disable data access to this application, because we do not know for what paticular reasons this application is tinkering with our privacy and silently duplicating our personal files on an anonymous server.
Note that these are just not my observations. I have surfed the web and just like me, many people have noticied that Clean Master is doing some unusal activity. I just want to spread some light on this matter and I am confident that I am right
