Hi People, the intention of writing this review is pretty simple-to keep you guys aware and prepared before booking a trip through cleartrip.
Recently me and my friends completed trip to Kashmir which was 11 days trip and most of the hotel booking was done through cleartrip. we had done the booking well in advance and received the confirmation vouchers. In pahalgam the hotel we booked was 3 star property called paristan resort.. amazing property..
But cleartrip called us and told the property is not available due to landslide and gave another option of hotel grand heritage.. my the property is not listed anywhere on internet..
I tried my best to find reviews or website of property or at least a name somewhere but nothing.. called cleartrip and told I need alternate as I cant find the property review or photo anywhere.. cust service assured something would be worked out.. days passed and I kept calling cust service but every time I call they tell we are working on it..
I did not loose hope and called them every fortnight and finally lost my temper and asked them to connect me to floor manager.. Mr. Sunil Pai.. pai assured me of resolving this but nothing worked and this went on almost till 1 month.. I was so frustrated that 1 day before my trip I had to agree with hotel grand heritage.. (Pai could get some photos of hotel).. please note.. I also had done conference with a marketing guy and pai.
The marketing person of cleartrip said the hotel is much better than paristan resort and much costly.. the room in paristan was 1200 and as per marketing person of cleartrip the room in grand heritage was 2200..i closed the deal here as I didnt want any more tension.... what next?
I arrived Pahalgam (2 nights-2 rooms-5 adults) it was around 6 in evening..and this is what I notice.. no road.. extremely narrow road.. hotel didnt had electricity so completely dark.. not even 1 guest in hotel.. it was like ghost house..
I was extremely disappointed but god gave me more patience to tolerate.. with no other option and cleartrip cust care not getting connected.. I went up to see rooms and what I see is dark room with no heater.. no water.. lavatory extremely dirty..
The owner said he cant switch on water as water will freeze and told us not to take bath in morning and adjust as heating water is issue.. man.. trust me I had to literally come down go up with bucket of water even if I have to urgently go to toilet..
It was absolutely disaster and all of us were just praying for our 2 days to get over.. cleartrip made fake promises and told the hotel is of same category however the hotel was not even close to paristan resort.. I checked with hotel owner and he told the tariff of hotel is around 600 to 800 in off season (Dec-my travel time)..
Me and my friends trip is completely spoilt. I have all the proofs of the entire thing like-photo of both the hotels, tariff card, cust care voice recordings, confirmation vouchers etc..
I am looking for refund+ compensation for spoiling my trip and would knock consumer court in case I dont get justice.. Will keep you posted on progress once I file case in consumer court.. its time to fight for your right and I will make sure I fight for it.
