Cleartrip does not bother to resolve issues

I don’t usually do this but my experience with #cleartrip( Trip ID: 1310171614) has been horrible, got a room booked online with child 10 yrs( under 5 years is free) their system automatically charges extra for the child and I have paid accordingly. When I reached the hotel they said that they have booking for two people and that I will have to pay extra for the child. I called up clear trip and they said that they will look into it and will call beck within 4 hrs.


I checked in and continued with my vacation. Did not receive any call from them after 4 hrs. I called them again and and was put on a long hold while making me wait I had to hang up. Called up again and had to explain the whole thing. to my surprise they tell me that even though the voucher says 1 Child 10 yrs old I have not paid for it and the system has taken money and booked only for 2 people. I told them to check the portal right away and tell me if adding a child increases the tariff? They did that and confirmed that it does but somehow it did not calculate my booking.and that I need to pay for the extra child to the hotel directly.


I escalated the call to a supervisor who promised me to call back within 24 Hrs to resolve the issue with their technical team. In fact they even sent me a mail that they will call back within 24 Hrs. Its been 15 days and I have written to them twice with no response. They have the audacity to send me feedback forms and asking my experience for which I did hoping that someone will call to resolve the issue. I think its an automated system thing and no one is reading.


Again today I get a feed back form which prompted me to share my experience.I think its a way for them to make money. If it would be genuine they should have called back. I guess its a ratio thing how many people will complain, how many times will an Irate person call? It’s better to have peace of mind for most and they will give up may be 10% people will pursue the issue but I think sharing this experience will make people aware about the malpractices these companies resort to .
