I Dont know why I see only negative reviews of any service. Cleartrip is not all that bad but the reason for writing this to is to make people aware about hotel bookings.
Whenever you a book hotel from Cleartrip, it is always recommended to call hotel to confirm your booking. Generally it takes 4 hrs (Cleartrip claims) for the booking to reflect on the Cleartrip website.
I booked one homestay in Chikmagalur via Cleartrip and found homestay was already booked and Cleartrip booked already booked hotel. I called Cleartrip and sorted things out.
I got my money back on time, but I could land up in trouble if I have not called the hotel.
