The salon looks really good with the interiors, the music and the fragrance but that is the only positive point. My mom has been visiting Cleopatra day Spa for some time now and she kept telling me that the girls there always force her to buy some packages/memberships. Finally we decided to get a huge package from them. We paid a lump sum amount and were promised lots of good services.
Now started the ordeal.
Whenever we called for an appointment, they would say sorry not today, not tomorrow and so on. We would never get an appointment as per our convenience, it would always be up to their wishes. Once or twice I did not get an appointment and visited the spa and realized that they had no appointment, the guys and girls were just whiling away time.
Then secondly, if at all you get an appointment:
You visit at the said time and the receptionist(who would behave as if she is from some north-eastern state and doesn’t understand Hindi and English) will tell you that you DON’T have an appointment. At times you feel like banging your head against the wall:x Then they make you wait for almost an hour or so and then start the service
Then comes the worst part
Just because you have paid a ump sum already and are not going to pay any more, they will try to cheat you like anything.
Here are a few incidents I have faced personally:
I had manicure and pedicure in my package- On the day I went to avail service I was told these will be basic even though while booking the package I was told they will be the most premium services. Once the meni-pedi started, they did nothing, just removed nail paint, soaked feet and that’s about it. No massage no bleach no pack nothing just as this is basic. I can F*ing wash my hands and feet myself thankyou!
I had a nail art in my package- I never got an appointment for this, they kept telling me the nail art girl is on leave. Finally I gave up even trying
I had to avail a hair spa- First the usual waiting thing happened then they tell me this spa does not have a massage included, I was like do you even know the meaning of a hair spa? What sort of spa does not have a massage. They just applies oil for 5 minutes rinsed it and lo! Hair spa is done.
I once bought a deal for a Royal Spa facial from Groupon and tried to avail it at the outlet. It was the most horrible experience of my lifetime. First they told me they are not honoring these coupons, then they agreed but told me the facial also does not have a massage, it is a normal facial. I said OK. I called later as a new customer pretending to inquire about the same facial and this time they told me it was a complete 2 hour spa treatment along with facial. When I reveled I had called earlier they were speechless. They refused to give the full service as I had a groupon coupon. They blatantly told me that coupons are separate from normal services. As I had already paid the coupon price I told them to do whatever and get over with it. It was the shabbiest service ever!
I went for a blow dry one and inquired the price before hand. Once the service was over I was told to pay double the previously claimed price as the hair dresser said he had done styling not blow dry. What is the difference among the two nobody knows!
6.A friend once checked their products and found most of them cheap local made products.
Conclusion-
See the salon has one policy- TRICK THE CUSTOMER INTO PAYING A HEFTY AMOUNT INITIALLY THEN TREAT HIM LIKE HELL.
As long as you don’t buy a big package they will be over sweet, over nice, they will call you and invite you, they will serve you drinks and you will feel very special thanks to the service.
The moment you block your money, everything changes, now you will not get appointments, now the staff will always be on leave, the smiles will vanish. You have to ask repeatedly even for water. They will treat you like a beggar as you have paid in advance.
NEVER EVER BLOCK YOUR MONEY HERE!
The girls there are so clever, they have all been taught that you must make a fool of the customer, promise big things then just say- This is not included, that is not included, blah blah!
I wish I could really sue them for what they do but they are so clever they always cover their tracks. Please please please save yourself all the mental tension and NEVER GO HERE!
I hope those reading this will see how agitated and frustrated I am, I’d rather go to an even expensive salon that to set foot inside this crazy place.
