Ill begin by saying that my skin is prone to breakouts. It is sensitive and combination dry and oily.
Therefore, I am writing this opinion from my own standpoint and those people who have skin like myself....beware.
I am a reformed skin product junkie. I had three boxes filled with every bonus sample and every cream, lotion, mask, clarifier, and scrub that I could get my hands on.
As soon as I opened a new jar, I was already ready to check out something else.
I must have had ten generous samples of the Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion. Most of us call it the little yellow bottle. I felt confident that it was good for my skin since Clinique boasts of its perfume free, irritant free products. I found though, that this lotion, has a hint of scent which reminds me of oatmeal. Not too pleasing or fragrance free.
Before my wedding, I visited a dermatologist to clear up the cycle of breakouts that I was experiencing. It was a fine doctor who ultimately did prescribe the right regimin for myself to clear my skin.
When she asked me what products I was currently using, what could I say? Certainly not ALL of them. So I started naming a few. When I brought us Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, she looked me right in the eyes and told me that was the worst product I can possibly be using for my skin. She said it was full of oil, heavy and pore blocking. I felt like a loser who was self inflicting torture to my skin.
So I went home and looked at all the lovely bottles, jars and tubes that I would soon be freely offering to my friends with skin that can take anything!!!!!!!! And I looked at these little yellow bottles. I saw the layer of oil on top of the thick yellowy substance. I knew I was contributing to my own skin problems by using this oil laden product.
My sister, now, she happily took the bottles and enjoys them without any negative effects on her skin. So to be fair to Clinique, if you do have trouble free skin, it might be fine for you.
By the way the Purpose and Neutrogena products that the doctor recommended moisten my skin without any negative effects. The Purpose is thicker than the Neutrogena so I tend to use it in the evening. The Neutrogena is a light quicky absorbing formula that leaves my skin comfortable and soft.
So take a good look at your skin and if you do have oily, sensitive or acne prone skin.....get rid of this product!!!!!
