Make-up was never very important to me. Growing up a tomboy, I sort of kept my au natural habits as I got older. Since I modeled from the time I was fourteen, I wanted to get away from the nasty make-up that was seemingly put on with trowels before a fashion show and photo shoot. And, since I am pale, I need a great deal of stage make-up to prove that Im more than just a white blob.
I use very little make-up. Before I was introduced to Aloette, there were three essentials in my make-up case: Cover Girl Sheer Powder, The Body Shop Beaded Blusher, and Clinique Stay the Day Eye Shadow. Even when I didnt wear the other two, I always made sure I wear my eye shadow.
Stay the Day Eye Shadow is a more expensive than your average eye shadows that you can buy in the drugstore, but truly worth it. Its around $13 for one pan, but it will last you a long time. Plus, the quality of the eye shadow is so much better than any other Ive tried, besides Aloette (which isnt on here for me to write reviews on!). It is true to its name and stays on throughout the whole day. Yet, it easily comes off with soap and water.
The eye shadow is in the form of a pressed powder and comes with a little applicator with a foam tip. My mothers applicator seems to fall apart, but I have never had any problems with mine. The feel is like that of velvet as you smooth it over your eyelids.
My favorite color is Spiced Mocha. Since Im pale with reddish-brown hair, I was taught that browns and other neutral colors work best on my eyes. If you want to achieve the natural look, this is the way for you to go as well. (If youre blonde with very fair skin, however, stay closer to the brownish-pinks and other light colors.) I get the very effect I desire from Stay the Day Eye Shadow from Clinique.
Since I have discovered Aloette, though, I havent worn Clinique. I would have to say that Cliniques Stay The Day Eye Shadow is now second best.
