When i first entered Cloud 9 HAL airport road, I was impressed with the cleanliness and ambience of the place, especially after having decided to move from a shady hospital called Seventh Day Adventist in Frazer Town.
Our first visit was devoid of anything fishy, but our subsequent visits made one thing certain! They are just a desperate money making outlet like any other fraud hospital.They made my wife do a blood test for pregnancy, which confirmed she was pregnant. Then they asked her to do a scan (which cost us Rs.1400), and when the scan results came out, they say "it is too early to see anything, so you do another scan in 10 days". So when i ask the doctor- Madhulika Bhattacharya why they couldn’t have done the scan later, she says they wanted to confirm the pregnancy. So what the hell is the blood test report used for?
Then Dr.Madhulika, in a fake show of honesty, asks us to do the next scan in 2 weeks, instead of 10 days, to give us an impression that she’s not behind the money. But guess what? Even after another 2 weeks, they say the scan wont reveal anything so early, and ask us to do another scan yet again after another 2 weeks. And each of these scans costs Rs.1400, whereas a super specialty hospital closer to my residence charges only Rs.600.
This apart, this outlet has a pathetic commitment to appointments. On a particular week, they cancelled our appointments 3 times at the last minute, by just sending a simple SMS. Each of those 3 occasions, i had taken leave, and cancelled my leave at the last minute. This left my boss wondering what i’m up to.
If you want to get looted and be given zero service, go to Cloud 9 Old airport road. Otherwise even a government charity hospital will do!
