I have a 11 month old daughter who is suffering from high fever and diarrhea since 4 days. Doctor had advised some blood tests. So we went to give blood sample at the same facility.
What horrified me was the pain my young one had to go through, during the procedure the lab attendant dislodged the tube from the needle and directly collected the blood from open wound by repeatedly rubbing the test tube edge against the knuckle of the child.
If that was not enough she had to take blood several times the needle was inserted five times in both hands. She continued in spite of my asking her not to do so and I ended up crying along with my daughter.
Now she has swollen knuckle along with high fever and is inconsolable crying continuously. I do not have the name yet but I plan to make a formal legal complaint.
I just wanted to say that we pay so much of money just for the happiness of our child and the care that I got today was so barbaric that I am left speechless.
Please I beg do not take your children to old airport road for lab tests.
