The hospital is only money making agency. Welcome when you check in and check out ASAP, so the next person checks in. Important things which I noticed during my sis delivery:
Nurses have to be kept calling for any need.
The saline bottle finishes and we keep calling them to replace it, no one maintains vigil.
Asking for a blanket the whole system topples as no extra blankets are found, and after almost two hours they come with one.
They keep the new mother in the same gown in which she was taken to the operation theatre and on continuously reminding them they do a gown change only next day. And they say they did not have one for a change.
They dump the baby with the mother just after birth. Who is supposed to be taking care of the baby OR even the mother. Both are not in a state of taking care of each other or even themselves.
They dont have a nursery for the newborn.a hospital specializing in birth not having a nursery. Still people are all ga ga over this hospital. I understand is it the first time parents getting carried away over the gloss and total ignorance to service, care or hygiene. Only happy because they let you stay in the room from 9 to 9 and everyone from the family, every visitor coming from outside can take the baby in their lap.
Happy time for the nurses as they dont have to handle anything. And the hospital charges exorbitant for everything they promise but dont provide.the basic service what we look for here when we pay every penny to them.
The urine test report of mother goes missing. traced after a week on follow up.
A blood test report of the baby goes missing. No trace a week past, and they say "we are not charging for it". Anyone thinks the charges for the test is so important? On challenging they finally they say the test had not been done and it was a documentation mistake.
Overall a very sick and sad experience.
