First of all, obviously this won’t be anyone’s first choice if they have maybe even 1500 Rs to spend on drinking, but if you talk about Club 8, it’s definitely very pocket friendly! But that is the extent of it, you won’t find anything worth visiting again other than the fact that the place is MIND BLOWINGLY cheap! I went there with a couple of friends, we drank and had a couple of starters, the bill came up to 1000 Rs only! That’s right. Just to make it clear and simple i’ll try to write points showing the good and the bad qualities of the place
THE GOOD QUALITIES:
Pocket Friendly: starters are very low rated but taste good at the same time. you can’t find a better bar to drink and eat when running short on money!
The Music: We have to give it to them for playing amazing rock music in that kind of ambiance, the music makes you forget about the shadiness of the place, and they don’t just play the new rock, they play classics too, like highway to hell, rock lovers will definitely love the music there.
THE BAD QUALITIES:
The Ambiance: To be honest I didn’t like the ambiance at all! it was way too shady, very dark and the crowd there was not something you’d like to drink around, especially if you’re with ladies, people stare like they’ve seen a girl for the first time in their life! Lol
The Service: Getting a waiter to come and take your order is exactly like these days we have to wait in line at ATM’s for cash since the demonetization. They’ll look at you and even ignore sometimes, so make sure to order everything you need as soon as you get a hold on any waiter.
Smoking: There is no separate smoking room for smokers, people just smoke on their tables, I’ve seen a lot of bars where people openly smoke without any smoking rooms, but they are mostly roof top bars so there’s good ventilation. People who don’t like sitting around smoke will hate it in Club 8.
Value for money: the place offers more than it charges for but apart from the pocket friendly drinks and food, there’s nothing special about the place.
So basically that’s the overview of the bar, everyone has their own things they enjoy, some people like to get drunk and it doesn’t matter how or where, but some like to enjoy the ambiance as well, Club 8 is not a place you’ll visit more often if you wanna enjoy the place! Is just price and music good enough for you? if yes then this is the perfect bar for you, if not then you’ll have to move up that budget and go to some other bar like Tiki Shack, or Glocal Junction. Club 8 is definitely a very pocket friendly place and if you’re alone and just wanna get drunk, this is the place for you!
