IF YOU LOVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY - STAY AWAY FROM THEM...First of all, this is club mahindra’s review and not Corbet resort’s review.I used to consider myself very intelligent. Club Mahindra proved me wrong. I went to their presentation and fell for charming sales approach.
But that’s the only area they have worked really hard. Rest is Pathetic. Offer valid for same day, extra holidays, food vouchers, etc, etc..didn’t give us enough time to think. After taking the membership, I read reviews, not only on mouthshut but on other sites as well. I felt like kicking myself. When People with red membership are complaining, Where do I stand? I am at the lowest.
My membership was activated on 16th march and I requested for cancellation on 23rd march, 2009. Now after approx. 2 months, a 1/2 dozen mails, a dozen calls and 0 response, I am still waiting for refund.Date of Activation: 16th March, 2009Membership # 1452919Initially my reason for cancellation was not reviews. I had a home loan to pay and even after calculating everthing, we were unable to manage. We planned that lets discontinue just now and comeback in an year or 2 when we can pay 100% and not EMIs. But after cancellation, I got the true flavour of Club Mahindra.
Now, I’ll never go in for Time sharing concept. Once your money is gone, you are stucked up. Atleast if I am paying when going, they might take care of us.Another drawback to share. They where giving me RCI membership for 3 years with Club mahindra. When I called up RCI, they told me that if I am planning to go to club mahindra’s resort and booking is not available through Club Mahindra, RCI has quota and on additional payment of some Rs.5000 (or more), I can get it through RCI. Means to stay in resort of which I am having membership, I have to pay a 3rd party a substantial amount.
Something Like tatkal scheme of railways. One(IRCTC) if for our benefit and another one(Club mahindra) is misusing it.If anyone in Club Mahindra is reading this, please give my money back. It took you 2 days to charge the amount on our card. Why is it taking you 2 months (or more (I hope not)) to refund? Latest update as on June 8th 2009 : I could finaly talk to Delhi Brach on 6th June and Ms. Neeru told me that it would take atleast mid of July (total 4months approx.).
Even after a lot of hot conversation, she said she couldn’t help. Reason : Cancellations can be done on 10th of every month. When I asked why this was not done on April 10th, reason given by Ms. Neeru (Delhi Branch) - Can make limited no. of cancellations per month. I tried to find more sites that could possibly have viewership of higher officials of Club Mahindra. Today I found Clubmahindrablog site. . I wrote a review though I had expected that it would be removed.
To my amazement, I received a call from Chennai within an hr. and Mr. Rahul (caller) has promised me to help me in closing the issue within a week. My experience is not allowing me but I just hope so...ISSUE CLOSED - Finally, within a week’s time, cheque was delivered and I got cash back on 17th June in my account. All thanks to Rahul ji for keeping his promise. I have commented on his corporate response regarding the same and closed the issue (atleast financially). But Rahulji, you need to work on the bridge gap between your corporate office and Branch office. Customers who are IT educated can come to you with this medium but rest of them would only endup calling and complaining to your customer care and your branch offices don’t even bother...
