I had stayed at Club Mahindra Mussoorie(1BR; Room No. 26A) from 10th to 13th January 2016 along with my three other friends. This was my second visit to a Club Mahindra property, first being at Club Mahindra Gir. I had received a call from the Resort a day before for confirmation. I suggest one should inform them about the room choice well in advance. I reached the Resort at about 4 PM. If you are going by taxi from Dehradun, I would suggest that you take a taxi upto Mussoorie Library and then after climbing some stairs, you should take a rickshaw upto their pick up point on the Mall. Immediately on reaching the pick up point, I had informed them and they had sent a vehicle to pick us up.
On arrival I requested for a room with a view and I got Room 26A which was a little higher up but it had a wonderful view. If you still go up, you get better view. I did not have any hassle at the reception. I found them to be polite. Since my room was nearly 110 steps high, I was taken there by their vehicle. In fact they take us from Reception to our room by a vehicle without any cost. For going down to the Mall from the Resort and coming up to the resort, they do provide vehicle, but they charge Rs. 75 per vehicle per trip.
The food at the Resort was excellent; their room service quite fast. Even though they say that they will take around 30-45 minutes, the food was served within 10-15 minutes.
This resort is at Gun Hill, which is a tourist point of Mussoorie. The Resort is 500 mtrs from the Mall and Gun Hill is further 500 mtrs, or even less, from the Resort. Sunset from Gun Hill is a treat to watch.
Our stay at the Resort was quite comfortable. Housekeeping did a good job by decorating the room.
