I am member since 2005. I used to get bookings easily initially.
But since last 3-4 years, I don’t get bookings in the resorts of my choice easily. It takes efforts of 2-3 weeks to get booking even if I try 4 months in advance!
It is like making train booking on irctc.com
I have Red season plan, still I never get holidays of my choice if I want to book 2-3 months in advance.
Club Mahindra says that we have to start trying to book holidays 4 months in advance.
In today’s job and school environment, it is practically impossible to plan holidays 4 months in advance. Moreover, even 4 months in advance, there is no guarantee to get holiday booking.
Also Club Mahindra is not transparent in booking system. They have a resort in Lonavala, still they dont advertise it on their website because they use it to lure potential customers by offering them free nights. If a member wants booking in Lonavala, firstly he will not be aware that there is a resort existing in Lonavala. Secondly, they have a weird rule stating that one can book Lonavala only once a year! I managed a booking there last year after a BIG FIGHT with their customer care
As per me, investing in Club Mahindra is not a good idea.
But now I feed stuck with them having sunk so much money with them.
I hope you make a wise decision.
Better would be book holidays elsewhere without tie up with folks like Club mahindra
