I am sharing my extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Club Resorto Vacations Pvt. Ltd. that occurred on 31-03-2024. The ordeal began with a call from Diksha Gupta(Mob:9911432723), who informed me that I had received a gift voucher for a free holiday package at a Five Star Hotel and movie tickets for a couple as part of a car purchase promotion. She repeatedly called to remind me to collect the gift voucher from HOLIDAY INN COCHIN, AN IHG HOTEL, located at 33/1739, National Highway Bypass, Chakkaraparambu, Vennala, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala 682028.
Upon arrival, I was met by their sales manager, Mr. Israr Ahemmad(Mob:8766318062), who presented the Club Resorto packages. He emphasized that the offer was only available that day and could be paid in two years through EMI options. He made the packages sound incredibly appealing and convinced me to pay 1 lakh rupees on the spot. He even connected me with recently joined members over the phone, but did not allow sharing their contact numbers, citing company policy.
Despite expressing my need for a day to consider the offer, Mr. Israr Ahemmad insisted that the offer was valid only for that day, coercing me into making an immediate decision. Under pressure and misled by their persuasive tactics, I paid 1 lakh rupees.
After purchasing the tour package, I researched Club Resorto online and discovered numerous negative reviews and complaints. It became clear that many people had been deceived by this company. Their positive reviews appeared fake and fabricated. They use luxurious venues to lure people and employ high-pressure sales tactics to trap them into purchasing expensive packages without adequate time to think or consult others.
Realizing the gravity of my mistake, I requested a cancellation and full refund within the promised 10-day period. On 3rd April 2024, I emailed my cancellation request. However, the response from Club Resorto was appalling. Firdous(Mob:8766315867), the Relationship Manager, stated they could not process the refund at that time. Kanika(Mob:7701967120) from the ESC Team suggested I resell the package to friends or relatives, which was absurd.
I filed a complaint with the Cyber Police at Infopark Kochi. Despite their intervention and assurances from Isra Ahemmad that the issue would be resolved within 7 days, I received another email from Senior Manager Mahender Lal Relish(Mob:8851062085), stating that the refund would take 90 days and a 32% administration charge would be deducted.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I have not used any services from Club Resorto and canceled within the stipulated period. Their refusal to honor their refund policy and the imposition of exorbitant administrative charges is unacceptable.
