I admit that I am a news freak and when there is not a program on that I like I have CNN on. I do like their web site that you will find at https://CNN.com.
ON THEIR ENGLISH HOME PAGE
On the left side, at the top of their home page they have a selection for you to choose from: World, U.S., Weather, Business, Sports, Politics, Law, Sci-Tech, Space, Health, Entertainment, Travel, Education and In-Dept.
You can then sigh in for a news pass.
Below that is
Quick News, Local News, Community News, and Multimedia. You can email someone who works there by typing in their name.
Next comes
What’s on now, Show Transcripts, CNN Headline News, CNN International and ask CNN.
Then you have the Editions
CNN.com Asia, Europe, Spain, Arabic or you can set your editions, (languages in addition to the ones I have already mentioned: German, Danish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese’s).
Do you want 4 free issues of Time Magazine? If you do then you can sign in on this page as Time and CNN are the same Company.
In the middle of the page they always have a developing story’, a video and a map of that story.
Below that is a section called On the Scene and these are reports from their Foreign Correspondence.
You then are invited to get 40% off any film, (video or CD), or music CD if you buy it through them.
On the right side of the page
You will find what is on right now, (for example the Larry King Show that I love to watch). Below that is Breaking News with the story in print or on Video.
The Other Top News Stories come next. Some you can only read while others are on video. The categories here are news, sports, finance and movies.
Below that
CNN Business, (is sponsored by the Bank of America), and you can be up to date with the Stock Markets.
The last item on this side is a 5-day weather forecast for 10, 000 Cities.
Along the Bottom of the page
Ther are four sections: Video, Extra Information, (where you can email questions to various people such as Dr. Gupta who performs Plastic Surgery), the next great Movies that will soon be release and finally there is always a pole that you can vote on.
Interesting Things
I think that CNN is a wonderful site and I have read a lot of interesting articles:
I read that there is a drought in India.
There was a bulletin that said that Monkey Pox was being spread by Hamsters and Prairie Dogs.
The U. of California believes they have isolated the Gene that causes People to have that dreaded disease, bi-polar, (like I do).
That Russia is supplying Iran with nuclear Reactors, (similar to the Candu that Canada makes), and the problem is that any Reactor, (that was suppose to supply People with clean heat and electricity), can be changed, in two Weeks, to one that can make an Atom Bomb.
Did you know that 25% on Muslims, (if you total the population), live in the Philippines, (a Catholic Country), Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia? I found that very interesting!
MY THOUGHTS
I was not impressed when Ted Turner owned CNN. It has changed a lot since Time Warner bought the Company.
During the Iraq War and even today the have articles from other TV Stations.
