Coca Cola is a product that has being around for years. I find that the taste of Coca Cola is quite good. But to me coke fails to quench my thirst. After playing sport I once drank coco cola and I was still thirsty. Also the find that the people at Coke are running out of ideas when it comes to TV ads. Their TV ads are of quite a poor quality and meaningless (at least here in Australia).
Coke is not thing that you should on a regular basis. With its high level of sugar and caffeine, Coke can cause harm in the distant future. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t drink it once in a while.
Although they have extremely poor ads and their product is high in sugar, I must say that their way of promoting their product is quite good. In Australia they recently had a Coke Music Auction. They had an Internet site and you could bid at auctions. But you didn’t bid with money, you bided with coke credits. You get the coke credits from the coke bottles. So if you wanted to bid you had to buy coke (or at least collect the bottle). Smart Play Coke. I am a member of coke music auction and in my 3 months of drinking and collected I manage to win a 2 coke key rings, a coke wallet and many other items. Even though this promotion was a good idea, I must say that the people at coke managed to disappoint me again. I received the items 3 months after ordering them. That said they would deliver them within 28 days. I got the impression that they care more about money than customers.
Coke as a product is a killer, but coke as a company has done very well. They have managed to beat their competitors and stay in business for a very long time.
Overall I don’t like coke very much due to the fact that their ads can be annoying, the product can be harmful in a long run and that they don’t threat the customer very well.
