(WELL, SINCE MY VACATION HAS BEEN RAINY AND STORMY, I FIGURED I’D TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO ’’ADD A REVIEW’’, WHILE WAITING FOR THE STORMS TO PASS)
There are so many different colas out there on the market today. But none of them come close to the taste of an icey cold Coca Cola.
When I was growing up, ’’having a soda’’ was a special treat. By mom was a believer in water and fruit juices and milk for us kids. So when she would offer a soda, we felt it was a special occassion.
She always had 7UP, Pepsi and Coke for us to choose from. I tried them all, but there was nothing like the sweet special taste of Coke!
It wasn’t overly sweet and undercarbonated like Pepsi and it wasn’t as sharp and tangy as the 7Up. It was something special. Something with a taste of it’s own.
(Hmmmmm, could the special taste of Coke have been the tiny amount of cocaine from the cocao bean it was made from back then?)
Coca Cola is a special combination of ingredients that has it’s own unique taste. A taste that millions of people loved......until The Coca Cola company decided to make a new and improved Coke. And ’’New Coke’’ was introduced to the market, for a minute! There were so many complaints about ’’New Coke’’, and people were not purchasing Coke in the magnitude amounts anymore, that The Coca Cola company pulled the New Coke from the market, faster than you could blink an eye! And once again reintroduced ’’Original Coke’’ to the people. And again, sales soared!
It’s not the healthiest thing to drink though. Coke poured on an automobile battery will clean the acid off the battery. It also unclogs clogged bathroom and kitchen sink drains, it eats through paint if left on a painted surface long enough. But....it also soothes an upset stomach as well. Years ago Pharmacies used to sell ’’coke’’ syrup to be used for stomach aches and indigestion. To this day, when my stomach is upset, I’ll make sure to have a coke to settle it.
But, still, over and above all the ’’cons’’ of drinking Coke,
it’s still ’’the real thing’’ to me. Nothing can or will ever replace it as my choice of a soda.
