- Led Zeppelin (1982)
First of all, lets get some facts clear. Led Zeppelin broke up in the year 1980. This album was released in 1982 out of all the stuff which the band had earlier rejected. In fact, this was simply an attempt to cash in on the mighty Led Zeppelin legend. In spite of the fact that this album consists of LZ rejects, it still has a few gems.
The band broke up after the drummer (Bonham)’s tragic death. The surviving members didn’t even look for a replacement drummer. But they did at least let their fans enjoy a dessert of ’’coda’’ after the many ’’full courses’’.
The band realized that this album would never be a classic... or even and excellent one. Its just like a collection of songs which might have featured in other albums but not as the best songs of the album. In fact, I’m not sure if you can even call it a good album. Only the diehard fans do so. But its decent enough. And even this mediocre album is a must have for all Led Zeppelin fans. But not at the sacrifice of their earlier albums.
These outtakes go on to prove just one thing... that even the worst of the band is much much better than the best of most other bands of their era. It just goes to show that Jimmy Page was nothing less than a Guitar God, Bonham - a great drummer, Plant - a fantastic singer and Jones an amazing bass player.

Its a decent song. More like a soundcheck jam.

- Poor Tom
The Page/Plant duo do their stuff. Its one of the better tracks of the album. It’s a lot like a folk song. Sort of a bluesy folk classic rock song. I like the bridge and the bass in this song. The harmonica is also quite decent.

- Bonzo’s Montreaux
A song which can more accurately be called as a drum solo. Bonzo drums magnificently. Although this isn’t a track I listen very often (I have only heard it three times in all), it is a decent one.

- Wearing And Tearing
This is the most popular track of the album. Its an appropriate way to end the album and the band’s career.
