One of the oldest restaurants in Pune, Coffee House is in a class by itself. The comfortable seating (especially upstairs in the A/C room), proper lighting, faint background music (upstairs), and classic menu make every
old-time customer (including me) nostalgic. The food is not too costly, they have quite a varied menu, and the sambar and coconut chutney are quite tasty.
The management has maintained the old-world charm in the restaurant, and most of the waiters are familiar faces. That helps improve the
ambiance of the place.
During rush hour, seating is not readily available. That itself shows how popular the restaurant is among st us Punekars. Service is quick, and if seating is not an issue, there is no need to hurry up and pay
your bill. (aka Vaishali). You can chill out there and digest your food for a comfortable time before you’re ready to leave.
It is a worthy place for any family, or youngsters to go to enjoy a value-for-money meal, with decent service.
