Pathetic company to work with

I had been part of this company since 2008 (EMS vertical) and experienced pathetic work culture through all these years. I am gonna list out all cons that I experienced.


1) Be ready to work like a slave (15 hours a day): Being a dog is much better than being a part of this company. You will be recognized if and only if you are spending sleepless nights in the project. You will loose the balance b/w personal and prof. life.


2) Innovation goes un-noticed:


Though they keep telling to innovate something new to get the customer attention. At the same time They would expect you to deliver the tasks on the time. Come on, where is the time to read the new technologies or to come up with innovative ideas. How can you expect innovation to come out when you make your employees work 15 hours a day. and then at the time of appraisal rating you get rid off saying "you lacked innovation" so you are rated as average".


3) Do not consider yourself as developer:


These people do not have sense while delegating the work to the employee. If you are a developer, you will be given QA work for long period(2 to 3 years). Being a developer, I asked to the director of the vertical, why are we given QA work as we are developers and it might hamper quality of the delivery. I was questioned back "How much revenue are you generating for the company?" and was told that it does not matter whether you are a developer or QA you will have to work on what you are given. its totally dictatorship running out there.


4) Do not expect Salary hike in 2 figures.


To the world and media they create the hypes saying we have generated revenue more than what we had set. moreover, they disclose the figures telling that 200% bonus will be given to the employees. but the bitter truth is, this %age is only given to 1st bucket employees who are 2 out of 20. For employee what matter is the salary hike, as bonus keeps fluctuating based on their profit (sometime no bonus). When it comes to giving hikes you will be told that we have already given you 200% bonus so no point of giving salary hike more than 8%.


5) Middle level layer is good for nothing:


This is the company where I saw 4 managers sitting on the top of 15 employee. Pathetic!!! and interestingly they all are good for noting. Only work they do is delegating and distributing tasks among the team. Do not ever expect any technical help to resolve any issue. I personally observed daily routine of one them. He used come at 6:00 pm to remind the team to update the tasks in the portal. Thats the only work he used to do entire day.


6) Hell for L1 and L2 employees:


90% of the work is being done by ground level people i.e. L1 and L2 and this is the layer which gets nothing and at the end of year and whose concerns get overlooked by higher management.


There is nothing to learn or grow your self in any aspect. because you will never be free enough to spend time on other things.


For CTS, Delivery is more important than employee concerns specially for L1 and L2. So if you are really in need to earn money than only join this company. otherwise for creamy layers specially  developers its a disaster.


What ever I wrote was my personal experience in CTS, other people might disagree on this. But thats the harsh reality.


Not at all a good place for developers.You will be given false commitments.
