FIRST OF ALL I DONT KNOW HOW COLDPLAY- JAMES BLUNT ARE CONSIDERED ONE! JAMES BLUNT AND COLDPLAY HAPPEN TO BE AMONG MY FAVOURITE ARTIST/BAND, BUT COMEON!! GOOD LORD DOESNT MS KNOW COLDPLAY ATLEAST???
Anyways, James Blunt happens to be of the best artists I heard in a long time and his album happens to among the albums I could listen to almost anytime. The album falls in league with Coldplay - Parachute and U2 - How to dismantle an atomic bomb. Yep considering that I am comparing his album- Back to Bedlam with mainstay UK rock bands (among others) , he is that good!
Now since this is the first review on James Blunt (and not Coldplay-James Blunt) I thought I would pass on some information about the album and the artist.
of course with all the plagiarism warnings going around I thought it best to mention here that most of the information I know about James Blunt I saw some months ago at https://jamesblunt.com .
Oh yeah and one more thing - I thought it would be fitting to tell you all where I came across James Blunt. I am actively into music from around the world (not World Music though) and generally browse through amazon.com or ask people on the net (yahoo chat mostly) about their choices. A welsh member suggested this and I heard one of his song. Then I proceeded to get his whole album. Anywho, presenting James Blunt.
James Blunt - Back to Bedlam
A first smash hit success - this brit did engineering and then was enlisted into the army where he served during the ongoing Serbian War and was stationed in Kosovo. With his gun in his right hand guitar slung across his back , Blunt proceeded to join the Buckingham Palace gaurds where he buried the Queen Mother! He then proceeded to move onto LA where he recorded his album!
The album is a masterpiece. The songs are serene - not too loud, not too mushy, just the right mix. You have to listen to feel it- its something that words wont do justice to. You probably think that I am going way over my head but try it, it is that good!
The album feature Your Beautiful (one of the best) , Wisemen, and Goodbye my lover. All the tracks are good and those three stand out - atleast to me! This is one album that you MUST have!
Nothing I write will truly explain the magic Blunt has created with this album. You however can try him out at:
