Colgate products, as usual have come up with a new product the colgate-sensitive. The claim tat this is more appropriate for sensitive tooth and caries tooth is not so welcome as the fluoride content in the paste doesnt seem to vary considerably from their other pastes. Also the flavor is the same acrid one to start with which wanes off as u keep brushing..... And again the claim tat tis s a panacea for all teeth problems is not encourageable....
Toothpastes, for tat matter be any company, just provide the following uses
1.as a source of lubrication for brushing
2.the fluoride coomponent settles over the enamel as fluoroapatite crystals and strengthen the enamel
3.the fragrance is short lived but provides a sense of cleanliness.
Lets see below some disadvantages of any paste-
1.less fluoride content is not protective to the teeth-formation of caries, etc
2excess fluoride would literally erode your teeth--(technically called fluorosis)
So watever paste u use, make sure tat
1.u follow the correct steps of brushing
2.u wash your mouth thoroughly after brushing. Though pastes are least toxic, they an accumulate over time and cause problems
Watch the videos attached with tis for the procedure of brushing the teeth and gums and also your tongue...
