I am an engineering student at the College of Engineering Guindy commonly called as an CEG, under the control of Anna University, Chennai. I’’m a 2nd year student at this college, my degree is about Industrial Engineering.
I have joined this university at 2015 August month. I had an experience about 2 years in this university.
When I joined this university, I wondered that how vast is this university and how peaceful with more than 5000 students are graduating. I don’’t know the paths for the main places at this college for neraly 1 month, such an vast area it had.
At 1st year they put me at an common class with all the departments mixed. We had also an studied in. After an 1 month we came to know about the culturals that had happened in this college.
They organise like AGNI, Techofus, Kurukshetra and more. We had an happy time with this times. On behalf of study this college mostly prefer for culturals, programming skills, sports and more academic activities whichever wanted to an perfect engineer. I’’m at now 2nd year, i had gone through academics studies with my department. Niw see category wise deatils.
Departments:
They offer more than 15 engineering courses which ever exist in other colleges and additional of 6 arts coureses. More than 6 PG programmes. In all departments in my view has an minimum 10 years experienced professors with an better infrastructure. For every department they had an single separate blocks, and had better equipments for studies.
Administration:
This college administration was full and full carried out by government. They had better performances, like offering an education, academics and students queries. The all payment methods are done only digital method. But some rudeness has shown to the students.
Hostel Services:
They have an more than 8 blocks for men and women hostels, most of them upto date. But little uncomfortable with mosquitoes, water scarcity problem. They also have luxury hostel services. The mess services somewhat ordinary but it can be satisfied.
Placements:
This college has an campus interview coordination with 655 companies, and each department with an assurance of 60% placement while studying. An behalf the CS andIT department has 100% placement with it.
Others:
They had an good library services with more than 20000 books realted to academics. They have best internet service which provides free in the name of RCC. Good parking facility and security levels are high for girls with cirrect timings.
An overall view, excellent university for offering engineering courses and producing outstanding engineers evey year.
