Recently I paid a visit to Colombo, its the capital city of Sri Lanka. Due to the Corona Virus Scare, we could not travel to any other destination and hene came up with Sri Lanka.
The city is booming with life! I was quite impressed by the people as well as the city. Although Sri Lanka is weaker than India, People are much more aware, much more alert and follow the rules very well. The city is developing at a very fast pace. The people there are extremely friendly and helpful. Most of the people are well aware about the road rules and traffic rules. Its not at all like India, where people drive like they own the own the roads, where people cross from wherever they want to cross. They will wait for the signal to turn green, and only then will they cross on the Zebra Crossing.
Secondly, any mall we entered, the security was doing a proper virus check for any one who was entering the mall, unlike India. The city has a great night life and one cannot get bored even if they stay for 4 nights in Colombo.
Overall, I was highly impressed by the city and the people and would totally recommend one to definitely include Sri Lanka in their travel Itinerary.
