Indeed all the myths about Srilank was shatered when I went to Srilanka.
Srilanka is Lovely country with some problems, which hopefully would be settled.
I landed in Colombo Airport at 11:30 PM and as the driver went to bring the car I was waiting in the gate and to my surprise a Soldier with AK-47 came to me and asked something in Singhala(Local Language) which I could not understand, and what I answered him was ’’I’M FROM INDIA’’ and hearning that he left. And finaly the car came and it was 45 min drive from Airport to Colombo City and the path was fully gaurded with ARM guards and various checkpoints and that was the first time I experianced a complete insurgency.
Well after that when the next day began , I came to know about the city and the people. People out there are very good and with full of warmth. They greet you from Heart.
I’m dissappointed that I could not go outside colombo due to my hectic schedule.
I stayed in a Hotel called RENUKA and that hotel was good interms services, But the cost of living is quit high.
Hope I would travel once again to Srilanka to explore it more.I’m sure I wont be disappointed.
