Columbia Asia’s first model hospital in India is is located in the Hebbal neighborhood of Bangalore, India on the highway to the proposed new international airport.
The hospital is situated at an ideal place closer to the main road and has easy access by all means of transportation.
Bangalore North, especially towards Yelahanka needed a super speciality hospital which was otherwise lacking around this place. Baptist and MS Ramaiah was losing its reputation of being a best service hospital and Columbia Asia was a great welcome.
My first visit to this hospital was due to abdominal cramp. Unfortunately this hospital does not have in-house specialists but all are on call basis- I had to wait nearly half an hour for the doctor to come to the hospital. In case of emergency, one needs to think about visiting this place.
The service is good, while the waiting out patients are informed about their probable consultation time on a large digital display screen. There are ushers made available for each out patients and they make sure that you are comfortable. The ambience is refreshing, unlike other hospitals. You do not feel you have come here with ailment, but to a good star hotel. The luxury is unlimited.
I only have concern and reservations for the price. The consultation fees are exorbitant and my friend who delivered her first baby here had to shell 42, 000 for 4 days stay- caesarean case. They were told that baby’s diapers, Johnson’s kit are complimentary but to their astonishment, it appeared in their final bill. This took them unaware as they already had many J&J kits for the baby as Gifts!
I guess, they have to be competent enough with the existing market pricing and cut short of gimmicks. They only would lose potential clients if this reputation spreads from mouth to mouth.
