Akin to the earlier formats of comedy shows that have emerged, Comedy Dangal is another devastating attempt to revive humor. The show presents artists who either are out of light or have made feeble impacts in the category. The plot in each episode is suited to the story written by the script writers which brings to light another important note that imagination has shifted from the individual level to the creative team. The studio audience is surprisingly small compared to shows that have left an impressive mark including The Great Indian Laughter Challenge/ Champions, Comedy Nights With Kapil, Comedy Circus and a few others. Acting levels are average which is expected of such artists. However, a few episodes have seen scintillating and incandescent performances by some but rarity just doesnt make the cut. The show is majorly comprised of ambiguous jokes, average puns, insults and forced laughter by the judges that is rather annoying than appealing. So far, nothing that is worth remembering in the days to come has been seen. 2 Stars awarded at max.
