Action Speaks More than Words

Vidyut Jamwal is truly India’s answer to Rambo. He probably has a physique better than Sylvestor Stallone ( a little leaner than Shwarzenegger perhaps) but fights as good as Van Dam.

The plot is OOOKKKK. Commando, a super soldier, accosted in China because of his plane having lost its path in terrible weather. Even the plane debris cannot be found so he is meted Nth degree torture by the Chinese. And due to geo political reasons Indian Politicians want to disown him.

He escapes only to arrive at a Border town Ruled by worst-of-Ravan , almost terrorist type Vilian equipped with gang of all the curs of the underworld and a white Mobile (looks like one of the popular one of 5in) on which he gets jokes which he shares with great indulgence before doing the cruelest of inhuman things on opposition.

This Vilian has  with pure white eyes and missing cornea (sic) but can see everything and has lolypop eye on the daughter of rival sardar politician. Ostensibly the very expressive chatterbox yet very very brave Heroine who hates him to guts abuses him, slaps him etc. etc. which the Villain bears with sizzling affection.

The only thing the lady cannot do is escape, which she attempts, only to be followed by the curs of the underworld who find it hilarious to follow the Bhabhi! In comes our recently escaped-from-China  Hero (commando) in plain clothes and very soon the curs of the underworld are flying about in all directions in space.

Then begins a typical Van Dam type chase in the hills with the getting to know each other couple followed by a Vilian full of hatred but in top humorous spirits and absolutely sure to be in control of the situation. But as the over confident baddies get  killed in dozens, even the local forest rangers, local police etc. all under the influence of the larger than Nation Villain join in the chase.

While the movie is mostly predictable with the hero adopting almost all the typical tactics employed by most Hollywood & Bollywood Movies, The action is simply superb and convincing. And despite the feeling of "Hey I have seen this before" you feel the chill and the thrill now and then.

Eventually the Hero prevails and the Villain is obviously decimated, Therefore it was actually the Hero who was chasing the villain and not the other way round.

The Hero explodes with action and physique, the heroine sizzles with glamour, the background resonates with absolute and sheer Natural Beauty of the lower Himalayas with its deciduous forests and shimmering brooks & streams, the soundtracks reverberate with the latest technology. The Vi despite his sickly and yukk eyes delivers the perfect vilianhood. Hats off to all the actors.

You come out having thoroughly enjoyed a Shwarzeneger+Rambo+Van Dam thriller.

Great Movie. Go watch it.

I only wish they had plotted it as a juicy geo-political thriller with International conspiracy including cross border terrorism! Would have loved to see Vidyut decimating even the external curs threatening our country!
