There are many excellent scientific books on gender differences in communication, sex and marriage. I dont think open communication between sexes will fundamentally solve any of these problems - they are deeply rooted in gender biology and evolution the result of over millions of years conversion from ape to human.
Biologically women have little or no sex drive compared to men. The feminists say that the ’’new liberated woman’’ is equal to men in every sense. Unfortunately the hormone testosterone is responsible for sex drive and aggression and a host of other masculine factors and is negligible in women. Evolutionary it was advantageous for women to have negligible sex drive, due to danger of unwanted pregnancy and the risk to life and efforts to raise a child it involved. Women are not supposed to select a man based on lust - but on more pragmatic considerations such as fame and fortune in order to ensure the protection of her offspring - i.e. the transfer of her genes to the next generation.
For millions of years sex only offered pain and burden of child birth to women so they have evolved to have very less desire for it. But women have evolved a ’’love drive’’ to fall in love and to get guys into committed relationships and thereby protect them and their offspring. Only men want sex for sex’s sake. Women dont care much about sex but only ’’love and romance’’ surrounding the relationship. But for men sex is an urgency not reciprocated by the woman !! Many many men will get bored with having sex with the same woman all the time. Many women on the other hand will tolerate sex just enough to have children or to keep a marriage going. For most women sex is just a tool to get things done - maintaining a marriage or obtaining favors. There are many marital websites online, where one can read the frequent complaint by husbands that their wives are not interested in sex!!
