I was a bit skeptical before joining Compare Infobase, but I would say I was happy working there for 3 years, I moved out of the company because I went abroad to do my MBA. There are some positives and negatives like any other big MNC or a mid size or a small company. Since Compare is a mid-size company, the biggest plus was the open interaction with the CEO and his leadership skills. He was the Reporting officer for all my projects with weekly and monthly meetings.
This did increase my learning curve, taking a point that in other organizations, there are many levels of hierarchy so that its difficult for the CEO to even interact with you. This company survived during the toughest phase of financial downturn, only because of their Entrepreneurship values. If you want to get project management, leadership and entrepreneurship skills/experience then Compare Infobase is the place. I must say Compare follows a close knit family system( They celebrate birthdays every month of their employees) and is open to critiques( The CFO held a coffee meeting with its employees to know the problems) .
On the same side of the scale I would say that at the moment they lack Salary appraisals and job security, but at the same time this is the same story in every medium or big size company. This is a point where they should consider thinking into.
I would say it depends on a person, what gives you maximum happiness at work. Whether its just the salary, or the work culture or the job responsibilities.
