Poor service at Competent Ghazipur and damage

I gave my Maruti Wagon R LXi for servicing and repair of clutch on 9th April 2010 and was told the car will be delivered the same evening. In the evening I was informed that the car was not ready as a clutch/ gear seal was out of stock and will only come from Mehrauli godown by evening so the car will be delivered on 10th April 2010 by noon. The delivery was further delayed by a couple of hours and since I had an appointment I could only collect it on 11th April 2010 morning.


On taking delivery I found that the front bumper had been damaged and there was a large puncture in it. On complaining and showing the challan where all damage is marked to the supervisor the supervisor just showed me a clause on the reverse of the challan that says that it is not possible for them to mark every scratch/ damage. Given the fact that even minor scratches had been documented I was shocked. Secondly after taking delivery I found out that the indicators had stopped working and I had to take the car back.


The delivery of the car at this service station also always takes 30 to 45 minutes owning to the congestion in the drive way. Customers are made to wait outside in the heat after paying and getting the gate pass because they take forever to find your car and bring it to the gate.


This was the last time I am getting my car serviced at any Competent service station. I know they are the biggest Maruti dealer but this is my small way of teaching them a lesson.
