Contract is supposedly the trilogy as per the media in RGV underworld specific films like satya and company but the man himself has denied this all along in his interviews as well as on his blog and he is right
Contract is is no way related to previous two movies by RGV , it is a separate standalone movie altogether, it is an exploration of links between underworld and terrorism
I think the movie first written words strikes u very hard esp after latest serial blasts, it says something like "you can chose to ignore terrorism but terrorism wont ignore you"
The story goes something like , Aman is an army officer who at the start of movie is confronted with a hardcore militant Sultan with whom he has an argument , actually its more of a "speech" from the terrorist putting Aman in serious doubts about this motive for doing his duty for his nation and terrorist manages to run away from the scene.
Aman quits the army after that and starts living a peaceful with this wife and child, he is now not interested in following "bad news", he wants to create a peaceful world for himself and his family , it is depicted very well in a scene when he asks his wife to change the channel to MTV when she first informs about the latest blast
Then , a Mumbai police officer comes to him with an offer to infiltrate RD gang to get information about his links with terrorists, at first he refuses but later on when his wife and child are killed in yet another bomb blast, he himself goes to police officer to give him a chance.
From there on , he undergoes to "police training" to get used to underworld ways, the interaction between the police officer and Aman is really good , they both play their part really well.
After that Aman name is changed to Amaan ali yusuf and he manages to make a name for himself in underworld circles through his exploits in jail, then RD lawyer Bansali(i think its a funny take in SLB, they guy has beard like SLB:)), gets him out of the jail, police try to kill him too but he manages to get away
RD gets him out of mumbai and he reaches his " final destination", RD is played very well by the same guy who has played in BALA in sarkar raj(shankar nagres body guard), i liked his voice and expressions, there he gains the confidence of RD and falls in love with his sister Iya(actually its more of the other way around)
Some scenes are really good between Amaan and Iya , there is no over the top romance but a "secretly"developing romance, u will unstd wit I am saying if you watch the movie
Also there is some gangster living in the sea because of fear of RD, there are some funny moments here too
After that , Amaan job is really to find the links between RD and Sultan and how he goes about it forms the rest of the story
I think the way RGV has ends this way , there is a possibility of a Sequel
Of the performances, i think all the actors have performed really well but I liked Sumit who played RD, esp the scene where he kills a mumbai police officer. On the whole a very movie, cinematography is really good , it is exactly as per the movie requirements
Also if youre serious movie buff, you can find a lot of meaning in the way certain scenes have been framed
