I have been reading non-fiction books since years. And philosophies from socrates to bertrand russell ..
before I read any book, its a common habit to check the back of the cover for a short synopsis - and this one made me still and I came across this mid blowing work by Neale Donald Walsch . believe me it is a dangerous book, what I mean here is A novel by stephen king could be dangerous in the sense that the thought forms of horror and violence can do damage long after the books have been read. conversations with god is dangerous in a different sense; that is, if one starts accepting what God is saying in the book is true, possibilities are there that ones life could change in a radical -- and heres the scary part -- unknown way.
Neale Donald Walschs conversation with God began in 1992, when he was struggling financially and both his health and relationships were suffering. the question is this book by god him/herself? or From the hyper-active imagination of a guy with a lot of questions.on one fine day when he was struggling with eternal questions, he preserved a great pool of angry thoughts.Anger and frustration came gushing forth in the form of a spiteful, passionate letter, full of confusions, contortions, and condemnations. And a pile of angry questions.Out of frustration, he composed an angry, passionate letter to God demanding to know why his life was in such turmoil.
if I start writing the detailed review of this book I would definitely start explaining the whole damn thing, but my dear readers after thorough reading. the after effects are deadly and intelligent for any reader.
it is a provocative perspective of Neale on what GOD means to me .Conversations with God essentially points out the real life issues, we all tumble over at our workplace, back home, and during our forays with complexed life out in the world. and the nature of God and Gods relationship to man.
And the concept of the book - what concept!!!
Ask a question get an answer. What a great concept! I sternly believe that the questions in the book are questions that at some point of time or the other we would like to ask. And brilliantly the answers are even better than the questions, and therein lies the genius of this book.
This book, is an encounter between a human being and that Being whom he seeks to know, and from whom he seeks to learn
Ive sometimes been suspicious of everything that religion has forced upon me in my Hindu upbringing. the conversations in the book, felt really close. to find the real essence in the book each word and passage should be read at least twice to find multiple meanings which are way to wonderful. What I perceive from one page , might be different from what u perceive. That is the brilliance.
my recommendation is that you experience Neale Donald Walschs conversation with god for yourself, and let it inform your own search for the God within and without. It will not disappoint u .
