CNG - highly dangerous

Kudos to carfreek (review dt Oct24, 2005) for his blatant attempt to use the platform of this blog to advertise CNG and to palm it off to unsuspecting readers by making glaringly wrong submissions and supresing some hard and very unpleasant truths:

1. Cost: good quality branded italian CNG kits with reputed retrofitters are being quoted at app 35, 000 to 40, 000 and not 20, 000+ as suggested. At 20, 000 not even th worst quality indian CNG kit is available easily

2. Pressure: the pressure - as confirmed by th CNG pumps themselves- is mandatory 220 bars that is . 220 kgs per square cms! In normal working it fluctuates and may go upto 250 bars also. This is exceptionally high, when compared to the pressure of LPG, which is only 7 bars!

3. Safety: The danger of CNG comes not so much from the gas itself, as from th exceptionally high pressure of more than 220 bars(220 kgs per square cm), which every CNG user is forced to carry in his car . 24 hours!

4. Volumes:  Even after over a decade of th presence of CNG in mumbai with over 150 pumps, one would be hard put to find even 2 private cars running on CNG! . thanks to the vast array of unsurmountable problems associated with CNG

I fully agree with th comments of mihir . that such camouflaged advertisements should be deleted forthwith.
