Coolpad with collaboration with Le-eco launched their first Baby, and here is my review and suggeations about this little guy:
1- Lets talk about BUILD quality first, and cool1 is one of the greatly build smartphone under this price range. It has mettalic uni body design with chamfered edges as seen on many leeco devices. It feels very premium in hand and of the best good looking smartphones in budget segment. It has rear mounted fingerprint sensor which is pritty fast and accurate, but as we all know leeco fingerprint scanners get bad as time passes so we will see how this guy hold it up. Overall very good build.
( RATING- 8/10)
2- Cool1 has 5.5 FHD IPS DISPLAY which has very good color reproduction and viewing angles. Saturation level and contrast are also very good. But the brightness level may have been a little more( for better outdoor visibilty) but it is good.
( RATING-7.5/10)
3- PERFORMANCE of cool1 is excellent on the papers, as it scores nearly 80000 in Antutu benchmark, but in real life it doesnt performs that much good in real life. I mean in daily usage it outperforms and you will not find any issues with it, ram managment is also excellent. But in heavy gaming it does not performs that good as it should, there are some lags( minor) in asphalt8 and it also heats like HELL. May be it is beacuse of leeco UI and may letter be fixed by ota update. But not any issues or heating in daily usage or medium gaming.
( RATING- 7.5/10)
4- Now comes the most interesting part, i.e, CAMERA. And I have to say it got some real guts in the camera department. Cool1 features dual 13mp rear camera and 8mp front camera. Rear camera quality is excellent. There is lot of details, good saturation, good HDR and ultimate bookeh effect. All this combine to give you very excellent pics. Although audio input in video recording is not that good, but it is also not that much bad. Video recording is better in MOTO G4PLUS. But overall best camera in this range.
And YES BETTER than HONOR 6X.
( RATING-8.5/10)
5- Cool1 has a massive 4000mah built in BATTERY which performs very excellent. You will get around 6-7 hours of on-screen time( medium to heavy usage) with almost 2 day usage. It has TYPE-C port for charging with quick charge 2.0, but it also has 3.5mm jack for earphones( quite happy to listen that), through which audio quality is good.
(RATING- 9/10)
SUGGESTION- You can buy this if you are a camera lover(better than HONOR 6X in all aspects), but if performance is your first concern that you must go with REDMI NOTE 4 with better performance, slightly more juice( battery life), no heating issues and very good camera. See my review on RN4 for full comparison.
