Coolpad has been trying to make a lot of noise in the budget smartphone market with its recent offerings but somewhere it seems the brand is not able to attract the attention it deserves. With the new Note 3 Lite, Coolpad has got everything right, even the timing.
If you can’t wait(and you don’t need to) for the Xiaomi Redmi 3 to arrive to India, Coolpad note 3 Lite is among the best budget smartphone under Rs 7, 000
The Note 3 Lite has everything that any other budget smartphone might, offer plus a fingerprint scanner. It is the cheapest smartphone with a fingerprint scanner, which works flawlessly. After using this smartphone for almost a month, here is the review.
The CoolPad Note 3 Lite is simply the 5-inch version of the original 5.5-inch Note 3 smartphone which was launched for Rs 8, 999. While the bigger Note 3 runs a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 CPU, the 5-inch Lite version runs on a 64 bit 1GHz quad-core MT 6735 processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM with support for microSD card. Other specs are almost similar.
Coolpad Note 3 Lite offers a textured rear panel unlike the bigger Note 3, which offers a matte finish and runs Android 5.1-based Cool UI.

What is good?
For starters, the device offers a good grip and is pretty handy. Though it is made of plastic, the device has a decent build quality. Coolpad has include a good display panel in the Note 3 Lite. The viewing angles are good along with the colour and contrast ratio. The screen is reflective, so, outdoor visibility is not the best at low brightness.
The Cool UI is pretty smooth and neat. You have all the essentials from the start. On the performance front, the device is well equipped to tackle the daily usage of most average users. Games work fine, but expect some lag while playing high-end games. There is no heating problem as such in this device, that hinders performance.
