We have visited Coorg in the first week of April-2008. This is our second trip to Coorg , in the last 3 years. This time we have spent a couple of days in a homestay.
We set out for journey at early morning from Banaglore to Mysore and then from Mysore we had a taxi book till our destination. This time we chose to stay in a Homestay in a beautiful Coffee estate . This is located near Madapura , 15 KM from SuntiKoppa in North Coorg.
The house /cottage can easily accomodate 2 couples. Luckily when we stayed the 2nd room was not occupied , which made us comfortable to stay alone. The charges were Rs.2500 per day for a couple.
Sudheer , the estate owner and his wife made us feel at home with their excellent and warm hospitality and delicious food. They are extremely endearing .Sudheer has spent lot of time with us, walking in the estate, explaining about how the Coffee is cultivated and exported, etc. The estate is full of trees and planatation spread across many acres. We had a very fresh fruit salad and fresh Arabica coffee served.
Virgin and pristine nature in all its glory. It is a magnificent place to stay. Scenic with the lush green beauty of the hills and river there. For us , it was a balm to the soul as well as a cheer to the heart to get rid of the stress. This is the place where you will be waken up by the birds every morning. We could hear nothing except the chirping of the birds. We could also a notice an insect called ""Criket"" which makes a vigil kind of sound.
We would love to go there in monsoons again, and iam wishing many happy times and great success in this venture that Mr.Sudheer has undertaken.
