Coorg an unexplored hil station

Last month I got chance to visit an unexplored hill station Coorg (Madikeri). As I was first time going out with my six months old kid, I was a bit scared. But the things goes in fine way. The car I hired from Sugama Tourist Koramangala was new and good. Driver is very good. We went via Bangalore, Srirangpattana, Khushalnagar and Medikeri. It takes around 6 to 7 hours to reach the place. We stayed in hotel Coorg International. A good hotel. It charges around 2000 for AC room. It has facilities like swimming pool, TT table. We visted the places Abey fall, Thalcaurey, Raja’s seat, Omakareshwar temple. While coming back we visited Nisargdham and balapunke a tibeatan society.

Suggestions:

Do not go with lot of expectations to coorg. It is just a place to relax and come back. No hill station crowd, no hill station spots like Panchbol point, Sucide point and bla bla. Because of maiden status you will not come across stupide things like Parking Fees, Camera fee, Entry Fee barring Nisargdham. Thalcaurey is holy place and around 48 km ahead of Madikeri. Beyond being holy place Thalcaurey may not offer any excitment to visitors. Bhagmandala a Triveni sangam on the road is pathetic. It is hard to believe it is a triveni sangam. So be careful while going there it may eat lot of time. for holy reason one must visit it.

Food:

Better to stay in good hotel and have food there you get all kind of varieties. City does not offer any good eating joints. Food in Coorg international was Good.

Excitement

Cool and calm abey fall really excite me espcially in the evening hours. We only three walking towards the fall and listening to the whistle of water flowing down the hills. Nisargdhama is real good place. One can enjoy boating and Elephant ride there. Real excitement came when I visit tibetean society near a place called Balapunke. For moment it is hard to believe I am in Tibeatean valleys or in india. Temples are very big and beutifull.

One must vist for enjoying natural beuty and relaxing for fast life. Better tio visit in groups and explored some more destinations in coorg by trekking and all.
