I went to Coorg this March .. which is a good time to be in coorg
we stayed in this hotel which is close to Coorg police station , and was a central area to stay
Coorg compared to other hill stations, isnt very cold so March to November you can just manage with a jacket.
There are many great places to c there
some of them being
Raja Seat - famous for its sunrise n sunset
Bhagamandala & Telecauvery - went there with loads of excitement , however was dissapointed nuthin much to do ... but a must see for religious lots
Nagarhole National Park - a mindblowing experience , packed with all kinds of flora n fauna , a must go if u r wildlife freak
Abbi Falls - its just 7k from medikere ( capital of coorg) , however you have to walk for sometime
but the falls are good fun ( only if you get inside the falls) which I totally recommend
Harangi Dam - Its a spectacular looking dam which is worth seeing
Tibetian Monastery - its peaceful and serene enviornment with perk you up
Its close to 250 km from Bangalore and the roads are a treat till Mysore that 130 km however from there , the roads are comparitivly mediocre
For staying in Coorg , If you fat wallet , dont think beyong Orangecounty , otherwise
other options are
Hotel coorg international
Brahmaputri comfort lodge
Hotel crystal Lodge
Overall I was very satisfied with my trip n I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to go in that area
